5 Beauty Items I Couldn't Live Without

When looking through my makeup stash, I quickly realised there were only a few items that I’m completely obsessed with. There were only a few makeup products that I’ve repurchased over and over again (or used) and I thought it was about time that I dedicated a blog post to them.

Although there are so many products that I love in my makeup bag I love trying new products out even more, meaning that I don’t repurchase that much! However, these 5 are set in my makeup bag and that won’t be changing anytime soon.
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is kind of a new favourite. I was so put off Estee Lauder a few years ago when I got foundation matched really badly by one of the makeup counter ladies. The foundation was way too dark for my skin tone and applied so badly, it completely put me off ever wanting to buy it.

After getting over my Estee Lauder fear, I very quickly fell in love with the Double Wear foundation, normal and the cushion stick. The colour and finish is everything that I wanted in a foundation, therefore will be one that I’ll be repurchasing, probably over and over again.
A beauty sponge is something that I’ve only recently ‘got’. I’ve been firmly a brush kind of girl for a long time and with all of the gimmick makeup applicators there are these days, it made me want to stick with brushes even more.

After getting ready for a night out with my friend and her talking about how great the beauty blender she picked up was, it persuaded me to try a makeup sponge for myself. I didn’t want to spend a lot on it, just in case it wasn’t for me, so I picked 2 for a £1 from Primark.

Although it was insanely cheap for a makeup sponge, I've used it religiously since and I think it might have even taken over foundation brushes for me. It blends my foundation effortlessly, creating a smooth base. I’ve been using this for a little over 2 months now and I completely get the hype around it now. Although it’s a new product in my life, it’s still one that I don’t want to live without. It’s great value for money (I can only imagine the difference the sponges that are a tad more expensive are like), the shape gets all areas of my face and blends my foundation really well!

I used to love Collection when I was a teen, but when I started earning, I started splashing out a little more on my makeup. However, there’s a reason why it was a favourite as a teen, whatever the price, they make bloody good makeup.

A collection product that I’ve discovered recently is the illuminating primer. After looking like a zombie in the morning, I wanted to something to brighten up my makeup and create a dewy looking finish. I also wanted to make sure my makeup lasted all day, without my foundation or concealer caking around dry patches on my face.

At £4.99 this primer certainly is a life saver. It does everything I want it to and more. I definitely recommended it if you’re looking for a new primer without the hefty price tag.
Not a day goes by where I don’t add my trusty winged eyeliner to my makeup look. The Bourjois Eyeliner, I have been repurchasing for a long, long time. Everything about it is perfect. Let me tell you, it’s taken a long time for me to find an eyeliner that I've completely fallen for.

As I said, I wear a winged eyeliner daily, therefore I’ve gotten a little bit particular about what I like and what I don’t like. I’m picky, basically. This liquid eyeliner has great pigmentation, amazing staying power and the felt tip applicator is perfect.
The Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil was bought on a bit of a whim for the first time a few years ago. After getting my makeup done at the Bobbi Brown makeup counter, I asked the lady to work her magic on my brows. She used this beauty and I’ve never been so impressed with an eyebrow pencil before (eyebrow products just never seem to get me excited).

It has great staying power, the products itself lasts forever. The pigmentation is amazing, meaning I only need to use a small amount to get my brows looking the way I want it. Although it costs around £30, it’s still great value for money, as like I said already, it lasts forever. You can see my full review of the Bobbi Brown Eyebrow Pencil here.

Have you tried any of these products before?
