Eyewear Trends; The Party Season Edit

I don’t know about you, but I for one have started to notice festive decorations, Christmas menus, and party season merchandising starting to unfold in most shopping centres and towns. We all know how keen retail can be when it comes to decorations, but I keep forgetting it's only three short weeks away from the big day.

The nights have drawn in, the temperature has definitely dropped and thus party planning and preparations have started to take place. I adore the party season and choosing my perfect outfit is one of the best parts.

So with that said I thought why not write a blog on eyewear for the party season. I think the right frames are the perfect finishing touch to any outfit, so take a look at these gorgeous styles all from Tesco Opticians!
Chunky Androgynous Frames | Benetton 131
If you’re a fan of the androgynous look then these thick black frames are perfect. This pair is by Benetton and can be bought for £99 at Tesco Opticians, the one stop shop for designer and high street eyewear! You will also be pleased to know that Tesco Opticians offer free standard 1.5 lenses with all frames, and better still if you’re spending over £65 you will qualify for the buy one get one free offer!

Why not continue the androgynous look by pairing with tailored suit trousers and either a fitted blazer or edgy bomber jacket, because long gone are the days when trouser suits were just for men.

Pastel Frames | Nord-Lite Bassi
Next is a really frosty, wintery look with a bold square frame. I love this blue ombre pair of glasses by Nord Lite Bassi for just £95.  They give a barely there look due to their gradual fade from blue to clear ombre.

To contrast these squared, bold frames, pair these glasses with a retro feminine dress perhaps in an icy grey or silver. Choose a satin material to achieve a vintage look too.

Tortoiseshell Frame | Lipsy 50
This grey and tortoiseshell pair of glasses by Lipsy have a sense of geek-chic to them, but with an edgier feel. Again these frames are available at Tesco Opticians for £95 and they come in a pink and tortoiseshell mottle too.

I would go all out with these glasses and pair them with a patterned jacquard dress in either emerald green or turquoise blue. Perfect for a Christmas party!

Colour Statement Frame| GUESS 1414
So last but not least, I thought I would go to the opposite end of the spectrum and pick out a statement pair in a bright colour. It doesn’t get much brighter than this pair by GUESS. On paper the combination of purple and pink sounds a little out there, however in the flesh this pair totally works!

For me, although a bold colour statement, there isn’t much that wouldn’t go with this pair. They would look particularly great with a silver sequin party dress, or a sophisticated addition to brighten up your LBD over the festive period, add them to your look for £125.
Christmas and the party season are all about going all out. So be daring and be bold this winter with your eyewear choices! For hundreds of more party styles head to Tesco Opticians and get searching for the perfect party frames!
