I'd love to do resolution post and write down all my goals for this year in all aspects of my life, but looking back at my 2015 and 2014 goals, they didn't particularly work out as planned. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't particularly stick to them or try that hard to achieve them. That why this year, I'm not going to bother. I'd rather do a round up post of the year and look back at all the wonderful and heartbreaking things that have happened.
Coming into the New Year, I was unemployed. I found a job in February, then got made redundant shortly after and then I ended up in a job I really disliked because I had to find something quickly. After six months I left and I've found a job I'm really happy with. It's full of lovely people and it's right in the city centre, which I absolutely love.
I went on two family holidays to Cornwall
I finally got a job I was happy with
I haven't been to Cornwall for many years and I was so excited to go there again. I did write posts about them so I won't go on too much. But, I was stuck in a job I didn't like and was quite unhappy at the time. I had so much fun when I went away and started to look more at the positives in life.
I started driving lessons.
Okay, they didn't go according to plan and I panicked my way through two lessons and then stopped them all together. I've made a promise to myself to carry them on in the New Year.
I finished CBT therapy.
This is something I've never mentioned before on my blog ever or spoken about to my close friends. I finished in March after around 8 months of going to 1 session a week. I can't even tell you how long it took me to have an appointment. I went to my university councillor, my doctors and the hospital for a chat and then a year later, I was still waiting for my first CBT session. I know it doesn't work for all, but for me it helped an amazing amount and definitely made me have a different outlook on life.
I moved cities
I moved to Manchester from the Midlands in the middle of September and I have never been happier. I live with my boyfriend in a little city centre flat and it's perfect.
I went to see S Club 7
Honestly, it was one of the most fun evenings I've all year. I trip up to Newcastle and a night of singing and dancing to cheesy S Club 7 songs. It was amazing.
I GOT ENGAGED!
Finally, one quite major thing that happened to me at the end of the year is that I got engaged! I still can't believe it and I'm so happy.
How has your 2015 been?
