As I am writing this I go on holiday in less than a week and I really cannot wait. I haven't been on a holiday is so long and even though it's just a small break to Cornwall, I'm really looking forward to having some time off work, relaxing with my book and looking out to sea. I am praying that the weather will be nice and sunny and after hearing lots of rumors about a heat wave, my fingers are crossed that it'll be the same week. Here are a few pieces I picked up with the heat wave in mind, might I add. So let's hope that these crop tops and shorts see the light of day!
This striped crop top is an item I featured in my Topshop wish list. It's just a really simple, cute little crop top that I could pair with so many things. I really like it paired with Topshop's black ripped Mom shorts. When I saw these in the Tall section in Topshop I was over the moon. I'd been looking for a nice pair of denim shorts for a while, but I have always struggled with the sizing of denim shorts. I tried these on and they were pretty much perfect. They're high-waisted and slightly ripped, which is a nice touch. These shorts are perfect for the festival season.
The next couple of things I picked up are both from Primark. I was in desperate need for some sunglasses to take with me after stupidly treading on some nice ASOS ones a few days before. I realised then that a clumsy person like me really shouldn't have nice things. I opted for some £2 Primark sunglasses, they're really nice but I wouldn't miss them if they were to break. Next, I picked up a back pack. I feel a little too old to have one of these at 22, but I think that's just my own problem. The holiday will involve lots of dog walking so a bag like this is ideal, practical and not too soar on the eyes either.
On to some more crop tops and shorts. The Malibu crop top is something I picked up from New Look. I was unsure at first, but with the tiny £3.99 price tag I thought it would be a nice, light top to pair with shorts and my high waisted trousers. The other two crop tops I picked up from Topshop on a two for £10 deal, which I thought was great! I love the style and the neck line of these. I was tempted to pick up two black crops, but I hardly wear any colours so opted for a mustard colour instead. Finally, are these pattered shorts. I love the pattern on these, as I think they're really unique, although I do feel slightly like a boxer when I wear them! The black paneling down the side is quite flattering on as it gives the illusion that area is slightly smaller than it is, which is always nice!
Are you going on holiday this Summer?
