YSL Babydoll Mascara

Introducing what might be my favourite mascara of all time, YSL Babydoll. I received this mascara in a gift set for Christmas that also included YSL Top Secrets eye make up remover and even though I haven't really tried the eye makeup remover out, I have fallen in love with this mascara. Yves Saint Laurent is a make up brand I've never tried before. I've always heard amazing things about it, but I always stuck to high end brand I loved already so I didn't waste money on another brand I didn't like. Being as obsessed with mascara as I am, I thought it was about time I branched out and tried higher end products and opted for Babydoll. I stated at the beginning of this post that it might just be my favourite mascara yet, so here's why...

First off, just look at the packaging, sleek and gold. It's also a metal tube which is a lot nicer than the standard plastic packaging that many mascaras have. It makes it look a lot more expensive. The other thing I like about this packaging is that the 'YSL' on the tube will match up when the lid is properly twisted on. I don't know about you, but when I'm in a hurry sometimes I don't completely tighten the lid so I like the fact that you can see if you've closed it properly or not.

I find this product ticks all the boxes for me in terms of what I'm looking for in a mascara. Although I'm not normally a fan of the plastic wand as a brush, it really doesn't matter to me in this case. The brush is a mixture of thick and wide set bristles to create volume and finer bristles to reach every lash. You can slightly see this on the photo above, but here's  a close up photo do you can get an idea. Even though we see many mascara's with different unique wands to have a selling point, I honestly think this wand really works well. It's lovely to apply and creates beautiful long and volumised lashes. It gives great coverage and reaches every single eye lash, corner to corner. It's very long lasting and does not flake in the slightest  I could go on about this mascara all day, but I'll stop here. It just gives you the perfect full lashes and I will definitely be repurchasing once it runs out.

You can buy Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll mascara here for £24.50.
