I have a dilemma. I like having a tan, but I'm not a regularly tanner. I much prefer laying in the sun and getting a natural tan, however as Autumn has drawn upon us with hot, sunny weather no longer insight, I need an alternative to keep my tan for the colder months. Introducing Cocoa's Brown Chocolate Whip..Cocoa Browns Chocolate Whip Oil-Free Moisturiser can be used in three ways. Firstly, before applying tan (specifically Cocoa Brown tan), this allows for a smooth application and to help avoid streaking, especially around those particularly tricky areas. Secondly, to help keep a long lasting tan and ensure your tan fades easily and thirdly, as an everyday moisturiser to nourish your skin. I used this product mainly as the last two, to prolong my tan and to moisturise my body.
So how does it measure up? On first impressions, the packaging is fun and girly with the flowers around the bottom on the tube. The Chocolate Whip moisturiser product itself is not the most pleasing to the eye, but I know that's all part of the product and the 'Chocolate' theme as well as the tanning element. As a moisturiser, I really love this product. The moisturiser is oil free and I found it really nourishing and hydrating to the skin as well as absorbing quickly into the skin. It leaves it feeling really soft and smooth. In terms of prolonging my tan, so far so good! I was very happy with my tan that I managed to get in the Summer in England and I would love nothing more for it to stay as long as possible, so I'm hoping this product will work just as well with a natural tan! I apply this daily as since I've started applying it, I've haven't noticed any fading. I will be carrying on using it into the Winter to try and maintain my tan and I will see how I get on.
My favourite thing about this product is the scent. It's so sweet and lovely that I'm more than happy to use on my body. The delicious scent comes from the ingredients Tahitian Gardenia and Cocoa and is really unique! Who doesn't love the smell of chocolate?! This product also has many benefits apart from what has already been mentioned. It contains Vitamin E which is known to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, as well as being suitable for acne-prone skin. Finally, it has not been tested on animals, which is always a bonus in my book.
