I honestly cannot remember the last time I did a monthly favourites! It must be quite a few months ago now. I've finally gotten myself organised and finally got another one up! July has been a bit of a strange month for me. I have mixed emotions. I graduated university with a 2:1 in Criminology and started a temporary job at the end of June. The thing with temporary jobs is that obviously they do end, and once again I'm unemployed. I've been trying to save the money I've earned, but thought, I should treat myself a little bit.
Lets start with a beauty item and the beautiful little freebie that is Clinque High Impact Mascara
. From my 'Mascara Awards' post, you can see that I'm a bit of mascara lover, so when I saw this freebie in last month's glamour, I grabbed it. It's very rarely that I buy expensive mascara, so when I have the chance to try some out for free, it's a dream come true! The mascara adds volume and length to your lashes giving your eyes a dramatic doll eye effect. White nail varnish is not something I've ever worn before, but after getting this in a gift set, I've completely fallen in love with it. This is Max Factor Glossinfinity
in 'Snow White' and it's a perfect, bright summer colour. And finally, I've purchased another Work the Colour
and this time it's there eyebrow kit. Shaping and styling eyebrows is something that's immensely popular now days, but apart from shaping them, is not something I've thought about before. I decided to pick up this little set from Collection for £3.99 as a starter kit and I've been totally won over. It's amazing to see the difference in how your face looks through working your eyebrows. This kit is great for beginners.
Now, onto the shoes. Primark has been on it with shoes recently and I've found myself having a few cheeky purchases. One of these purchases are this nude/salmon coloured cut out shoes.
I was looking for some flat shoes as everything I own is quite high and sometimes that just isn't appropriate to nip down the shops in! I can't remember exactly how much these were, but were around the £10 mark. They are really comfortable as well as looking really smart. And finally, I featured this statement necklace
on my Haul post (here
) and it's just become a firm favourite in my wardrobe. It just instantly adds lovely detail to any outfit and for £5, you can't really go wrong!
