Collection Work The Colour | Eyebrow Kit

I recently featured this in my July favourites not too long ago and it's definitely there for a reason. I've always been happy at my natural eyebrows. I've always plucked stray hairs, but because I've always been happy with the shape I never done much else to them. After seeing the difference that a bit of colouring in could do to the whole face, I thought I'd buy a little starter kit and see what difference it could make to mine.

This is the Collection Work the Colour Eyebrow kit. As you can see, this little kit contain three colours, a light, medium and dark colour, as well as a double sided brush and clear brow mascara. I got this kit for only £3.99, but it is currently on sale on the Boots website for £2.99 (here). It's a perfect price to try an eyebrow kit out without making any commitments on an expensive kit that might not necessarily work for you.

To be completely honest, it didn't blow me away, but I will still stand by the fact it's great value for money and here's why I think that. It has a range of colours to suit your brow. The lightest is difficult to see in the swatches, however all shades are well pigmented and easily blendable. All shadows are easy to apply with the little brush that comes with the kit. It's double sided, with one side being an angled brush and the other being flat. I love using the angled brush, it makes applying so easy. The gel leaves your brows feelings slightly hardened, but apart from that has excellent staying power and makes your brows stay put all day.

All these elements in this little kit for this little price is definitely impressive. Although, I find there to be a couple of negatives with the product such as the colours. Although there are three colours to pick from, I find the darkest too dark and the medium colour too light and I end up mixing the two colours together to get a perfect blend. Obviously with a kit like this, you're paying for a colour you won't necessarily use, for example if you have really light brows, the two other colours may not be touched. I would prefer the colours to be split into two separate palettes for light and dark, but once again for the tiny price tag, I can't complain too much. Also, like I've already mention, the brow gel I am not overly impressed by.

If you're looking for a starter kit which is great value for money, you can't really go wrong with this. You can buy the Collection Work the Colour Eyebrow Kit here.

Have you tried this product? What eyebrow kits would you recommend?
