Elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick | Turkish Coffee

I recently discovered Elf. I've read so many great things about this brand, I had to try them for myself. They recently had a 50% off sale and I decided to take advantage of it. I posted a haul (here) with all the things that I ended up buying and this Elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Turkish Coffee was my favourite product by far. Therefore, I thought it deserved a little love on my blog.. Cream eyeshadow sticks are not something I've ever tried before, but they had piqued my interest. They seemed quicker to apply than eyeshadow and easier to maintain. I had not expected much of this product due to its tiny £2.50 price tag however, as you already know I ended up really liking this product and here's why.

Obviously buying online, you don't have a chance to try before you buy, therefore the main reason for me buying this product was the colour. It is called 'Turkish Coffee' and although the name isn't particularly great, the colour is perfect. It's a bronze colour. I love the aspect of the deep brown with the shimmering metallic finish on the eyelids which is something that I haven't got with matte powder eyeshadows I own. The colour is really easy to wear, day or night. At night I like to add a flick of liquid eyeliner as I like to wear heavier make up in the evening.

In terms of formula, there are pros and cons. I love how easy it is to use, especially if you have limited time to get ready, a quick sweep on the eyelids and you're good to go. The formula is creamy, glides on with ease and the eyeshadow stick allows more precision in terms of application. This eyeshadow stick has good longevity, as I said before I was not expecting much from a £2.50 product, but I've found that on the eyelids the wear can last between 4 or 5 hours. The pigmentation is great to start with but, it does start to fade slightly as the day goes on and although the eyeshadow is still noticeable, it is as not as dark as first applied. Another downfall I've found with this product is the creasing. This eyeshadow is really prone to creasing and although I've tried, I've struggled to make the eyeshadow not crease after a couple of hours.

Overall, although there are problems with creasing with the Elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick, I still love it. The 'Turkish Coffee' colour and the creamy formula definitely wins it for me. I'm excited to try some more eyeshadow sticks in the future!

Have you ever tried this product? What do you think of Elf? What eyeshadow sticks do you recommend I try?
