Things I Love #2 | Autumn

Autumn is my favourite season by far and this is why.

1. Knitwear.
Chunky knitwear is a must for Autumn. Socks, scarves, jumpers, as long as it's comfy knitwear I'll have it. I have so many jumpers in my wardrobe that they take up the majority of the space and I am always being reminded that I need to sort them out, I just don't want to part with them!

2. Hot drinks on a cold evening.
I love nothing more than getting myself warm with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate on a cold evening.

3. Halloween.
I love a good Halloween party, even though I've been dressing up as the same thing for the last two years!

4. Ditching the diet.
Summer is the season for holidays and hotter weather and that means more flesh being on show. That's why in Spring I began to try and eat healthy and do some exercising! I am not afraid to admit that I do not enjoy in the slightest exercising or eating fruit and veg but I do enjoy the finished result, and that's what motivates me to not reach for that chocolate bar. However, as summer has ended and autumn and winter approaches, I think it's only fair that I can be a little less strict on myself. I do love to bake cakes and sweet things, but have been putting it off to stop the temptation so am looking forward to getting back into it over the next few months.

5. Bonfire Night
Fireworks, cups of tea, wrapping up warm, mushy peas and burgers, the smell, big bonfires, the atmosphere. I have my fondest memories from when I was younger of bonfire night as it used to be a big deal in our house, however since moving into a student house I don't think they'll be many celebrations this year.

What are your favourite things about Autumn?
