I'm sure many of you would have seen this product come as a freebie with Elle magazine a few months back. I don't normally buy Elle magazine, but if the freebie is good, I'll buy anything! My hair is naturally quite thin so I am always looking for help in the thickness and volume area and I have heard good things about the Bumble and bumble brand so was excited to give the Thickening Hairspray a go. I'm not sure if it was because my expectations were quite high or it didn't take to my hair properly, but I wasn't really too impressed with this product.
To start off with it was very promising, it smelt lovely and didn't leave my hair feeling sticky or hard which is something I have found using products on damp hair. However, as soon as my hair was dried, it pretty much looked the same as it does when I use no products at all. There was a small improvement in thickness as soon as I finished blow drying, but I found that it went limp and thin again very quickly. There is no longevity at all or any proof that the thickening hairspray works as a product, as like I said, I didn't see a lot of changes to my hair after applying it. Although I did not get on with this product, it will not stop me from using the Bumble and bumble brand in the future, as I have heard many good things about this brand but, I have tried many products to try and make my hair thicker and more voluminous than actually it is, with not many success stories, unfortunately I can't say this one is either.
Has any one else had any experience with this product? Or any one else buy magazines for the freebies just like me?!
